Day 6 of Partial Reboot!

Today is "Day 6" of our Partial Reboot juicing experience! We're doing our best (key word is BEST here) to swap 2 major meals a day with juice fresh from our Omega Vert juicer. We're now allowing only a vegetarian, or "clean" meal for our other major meal, staying away from too many fats or calories. And we've been allowing small, healthy snacks throughout the day, just as we would enjoy any other day!

Owl started his day with this red juice here, which was too beety for Bee to drink first thing in the morning, so she had some Mini Wheats to kill off the milk and then had the juice for lunch instead.

Grape Salad
Yileds 1 Qt.
10 organic Carrots
1 Green Apple
1 Beet, with leaves
1 cup (?) Spinach
and enough Black Grapes to make this a quart!

We had a sensible vegetarian lunch and a snack here and there, and for dinner we wanted to try this new Recipe of the Week that Bee found on the Reboot website. We didn't have all the ingredients we needed, so instead we made this...

Summer Green Adaptation
Yields 1 Qt.
1 large Zucchini
2 Golden Delicious Apples
2 Anjou Pears
2 cups organic Spinach
2 cups Kale
1 small piece of Ginger
(we opted out of the lemon this time)

...and for a GREEN drink, it was very tasty! We would definitely have this again! It comes out super foamy, so beware!

And for dessert we will be enjoying some cherries and papaya, not juiced, but just the way they are!
